Practical AI, installed in your business. Running in weeks, not quarters.
AI Midwest builds the automation, answers the phone when you can't, and runs it on private hardware when your data shouldn't leave the building. One engineer, fixed quotes, no vendor runaround. It starts with a conversation about how your business actually runs.
It's answering right now.
Call the number. You'll reach the same AI receptionist a client gets. No sales pitch, no human on the line. Then picture it on your number.
Demo calls may be recorded to improve the system. Details in our privacy policy.
Three things, done properly.
No AI strategy decks. Each engagement ends with something running in your business that wasn't running before.
Workflows & automation
For owners doing the same admin by hand, every day.
A new lead emails you. It's logged, a reply in your voice goes out within a minute, and a follow-up is scheduled if they go quiet. Invoices, intake forms, reporting, the stuff that eats your evenings.
Hours a week back. Nothing falls through the cracks.
After-hours AI phone
For any business that loses jobs to voicemail.
It's 7 PM and a homeowner's furnace is out. The AI answers, gets the details, books the morning slot, and texts you the summary. Real emergencies get routed to a real person. Your number doesn't change.
Every call answered, 24/7, in a voice you approved.
Private AI on our own hardware
For law, finance, HR, and anyone with client data they'd rather not upload.
Summarize a decade of case files. Draft from your own templates. Search your records in plain English. All of it on a machine we own and control, not a cloud account.
AI leverage without the "where does my data go" problem.
Your data stays on hardware we own. In Omaha. Not in someone's cloud.
Most AI products send everything you type to a server you don't control. For a lot of businesses that's fine. For some it isn't. We run open models on workstation-class hardware we own, so client files, contracts, financials, and personnel records never touch a third-party AI service.
Straight talk: this is a private option, not a compliance certificate. If you need HIPAA or SOC 2 on paper, we'll tell you exactly what we can and can't sign before you spend a dollar.

From first call to running system, without the runaround.
It starts with a conversation, and plenty of them end there. If something's worth building, you'll know the price and the date before anything starts.
20 minutes. Just a conversation.
You talk, we listen. How the business runs today, where the hours go, what you've already tried. No pitch, no deck. If AI isn't the answer, we'll say so.
Written plan, fixed quote
Only if something's worth building: a one-page plan, a fixed install price, a flat monthly to keep it running, and a delivery date, all within a few days. You approve it or you don't. If nothing is, you got a free second opinion.
Build and install
We build it, connect it to the tools you already use, and train the people who'll touch it. Most first projects take two to four weeks.
30 days of tuning
It runs, we watch it. We fix what's awkward, adjust the voice, add the edge cases. After that it keeps running on the flat monthly, with a human to call when something changes.
Small businesses with a phone that rings and an inbox that doesn't stop.
If you're not sure you fit, that's exactly what the conversation is for.

To earn our place in people's lives by creating extraordinary value.
We believe nobody owes us their attention, trust, or business. Those things must be earned. Together, we build products and services that genuinely improve people's lives, creating something greater than any one of us could accomplish alone.

Parker Wall
I'm a software engineer who builds and runs these systems myself, on hardware I own. I started AI Midwest for the people who keep hearing about AI, don't have the time to sort out what's real, and don't want to get left behind by it. You don't need to understand any of it to use it. That's my job.
When you work with AI Midwest you talk to the person doing the work. I'll tell you when something is a bad fit, and I'd rather lose a project than install something you'll switch off in a month.
The things people ask before the first call.
01Is the first call a sales pitch?›
No. It's a conversation about how your business runs today: where the hours go, what you've already tried, what's annoying enough that you'd pay to make it stop. We don't pitch on the first call. If something's worth building, we'll follow up in writing. If not, we'll say so, and you'll usually leave with a couple of things you can do yourself.
02What does it cost?›
Two numbers, both in writing before work starts: a one-time price for the install, and a flat monthly fee that keeps it running, supported, and tuned. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. First projects are scoped to be an easy yes: one specific problem, solved and running.
03How long does it take?›
Most first projects are running inside two to four weeks. An after-hours phone line can be live in days. Larger private-AI setups take longer, and we'll say so up front rather than surprise you.
04Do I need to change my phone system?›
No. The AI line sits alongside what you already have. Forward calls after hours, when you're busy, or on no-answer, and keep everything else as it is. Your number doesn't change.
05Where does my data go?›
It depends on what you choose, and we put it in writing. Standard projects use mainstream AI providers under business terms that don't train on your data. The private option keeps everything on hardware we own in Omaha.
06What if it doesn't work?›
Then we fix it during the 30-day tuning window. If it still isn't earning its keep, we turn it off and the monthly stops. We'd rather be honest early than install something you'll resent.
07Do you work outside Omaha?›
Yes. Most of the work is remote. We prioritize Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois because we'll show up in person when it helps, but the phone and workflow systems run anywhere.
08What can't AI do?›
Plenty. It shouldn't make judgment calls that need a license, it won't fix a broken process by itself, and it's wrong sometimes. Good installs put it on the repetitive, well-defined work and keep a human on the rest. We'll draw that line with you, on the call.
Tell me what's eating your week.
Three quick questions so we come prepared, then pick a time. It's a 20-minute conversation about how your business actually runs. No pitch, no obligation, and if AI isn't the answer we'll say so.
- Takes about a minute. Nothing to prepare.
- You pick a time right after, no email tag
- No list, no drip campaign. One human, one reply.
